The Next Chapter

Today we announce the next chapter of Puget Sound Personnel, Inc. (“PSP”). As of June 1, 2023, PSP’s business operations will be acquired and managed by SKCAC Industries & Employment Services (“SKCAC”) of Kent, WA. This transaction will integrate our unique strengths with those of SKCAC, creating an organization that will continue to provide quality employment services for people with disabilities for decades to come.

When we were exploring the possibility of another organization acquiring PSP, the search was conducted thoughtfully. The decision for this exploration was precipitated by the upcoming retirement of our principals―Sara McIlvaine, Executive Director, and Cathy Ann Mallman, Operations Director. Their retirement will be effective on June 1st as the acquisition is formally completed. Debbie Meyers, Executive Director of SKCAC, will take the lead in the transition and beyond.

PSP is excited and grateful to have found a compatible organization such as SKCAC to continue our mission and quality service commitment. Our 40-year engagement with those we serve, their families and employers, demand nothing less. As of June 1, 2023, all PSP staff will become employees of SKCAC to continue to serve the best interests of all involved.

We thank the many, many people who have touched our lives. We are confident and excited to see our mission and support continue as part of SKCAC.

If you have questions or concerns, please direct your inquiries to Debbie Meyers of SKCAC at 253-395-1240. Or email her at Debbie@skcac.org.
